Basically a Bigsby B3 but made for Epiphone, and was equipped on guitars that were ordered with a vibrato.
I just bought Epiphone Casino Coupe and I want install the bigsby on it. For the bridge, the stock bridge will work fine, but investing in one with roller saddles might be worth it.Īnother option is going for the Epiphone Tremotone unit. 1 Hi all, Im new in this forum and also new using Epiphone guitar. Make sure the unit is aligned perfectly (in all 3 dimensions) otherwise it affects tuning stability. So go for a B7 and reinforce the areas where you'll drill in the top. That means that to install a Bigsby on a fully hollow guitar, you need to reinforce the screw holes a bit with small blocks of wood that you glue underneath the top (via the hole of the bridge pickup) so the screw has enough material to bite in.īoth the B3 & B7 will work, but the B3 will cause the strings to be really slack over the bridge, which really affects the sustain and overall playability. The Casino is a fully hollow guitar, so that means the two screws that are used to anchor the B7-Bigsby to the top only claw in a few millimeters of laminate, instead of in a big center block like on the 335.
